How long will it take to get my photos?

Emily processes your finished photos carefully, while trying to be as efficient as possible in the turnaround time. Because Emily is also a full time midwife, please allow up to three weeks for your final images to arrive. It will most likely be less time than three weeks. Rush edits (within 48 hours) are available for a $100 fee.

How do I download and store my images?

You can download full res images directly to your computer. Please store them using the backup or “cloud” drive option of your choice. See pictorial guides below.

Single image download
To download a single image from your gallery, choose the photo you want and click on the “download” link above the photo.

To download your entire gallery

1. Visit the top left corner of the screen to select “all” photos.
2. Go to the top right corner of the screen and select the third option “download.”

Do you take credit cards?

I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover (through PayPal). There is a 3% merchant fee added onto the total when paying with credit.

Who owns the final images?

Emily Rumsey Photography retains copyright on all images. Some packages may include photo reprint rights, but this does not mean that you own the images, only that you are permitted to reprint them in accordance with the terms of the package.

Do you charge travel fees?

Photo shoots within 15 miles of the Saint Paul-Minneapolis metro area do not have travel fees. For shoots outside of this radius, there is an additional travel fee of $0.50/mile (after the first 15 miles.)

Where do you recommend I get my photos printed?

The quality of photo printing varies widely, and low priced prints will yield muted colors, exposure that is either too light or too dark, and no guarantee of archival quality down the line.

Local recommendations for excellent prints include:
West Photo
National Camera & Video
White House Custom Colour

My online recommendation for excellent prints is mpix.

What if I have trouble ordering prints through another site?

Many photo stores will not print photographs that they can tell were taken by a professional photographer without a “reprint rights” release. If the products you wish to buy require this, I am happy to provide it.
